Practitioners tout tools that aid their blended learning classrooms

By Emily Ann Brown, Education Daily® In the course of developing new laws governing student data privacy, states and districts have experienced some common “pitfalls” — some of which, along with lessons learned, were documented in a recent policy brief authored by Amelia Vance, director of education data and technology for the National Association of State Boards of Education.

There are seven student privacy bills pending in Congress, two of which are expected to pass in the next two years: a rewrite of FERPA, and an industry-focused bill that would require third-party providers to safeguard identifiable student information.
